Travel Itinerary:
 
DAY 1:
Drive to Agra; on arrival check in at the hotel. After rest visit Agra Fort, the great monument of red sandstone dominating a bend in the river Yamuna, 2 km northwest of Taj Mahal. The Mughals constructed it during 1565-1571. Emperor Akbar laid the foundation of this majestic citadel in 1565, however Emperor Shahjahan, Akbar's grandson completed the fort in 1571.
 
DAY 2:
1. Early morning enjoy the sunrise view of Taj Mahal - "the epitome of love", "a monument of immeasurable beauty" that stands majestically on the banks of River Yamuna. The thoughts that come into the mind while watching the Taj Mahal of Agra is not just its phenomenal beauty, but the immense love which was the reason behind its construction. Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan got this monument constructed in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, with whom he fell in love at the first sight.
 
2. Return to hotel for breakfast.Later check out of the Hotel.
 
3. Visit Fatehpur Sikri on your way back to Delhi. It is located 40 kms west of Agra, built predominantly in Red Sandstone. The Great Mughal Emperor Akbar built Fatehpur Sikri during 1570 and 1585. It is one of the finest examples of the culmination of Hindu and Muslim architecture. Fatehpur Sikri Mosque is said to be a copy of the mosque in Mecca and has designs, derived from the Persian & Hindu architecture. See the graceful building including the Jama Masjid. Tomb of Chishti, Panch Mahal and other palaces.
 
4. Late afternoon drive back to Delhi.
